Recruitment for Peer supporters

The Peer Support Centre (PSC) is recruiting Peer Supporters for the 2016-2017 year! We’re also recruiting volunteers for our Promo and Outreach Team! Applications close March 6th at 11pm. The Peer Support Centre (PSC), formerly known as the Peer Support Network, is a student-run service which provides a non-judgemental and confidential drop-in space for students to access immediate, one-on-one support from a welcoming and empathetic peer. Originally conceived in Fall 2013, the PSC has been operational since Winter 2014 and currently offers daytime and evening hours for students at any level, across a variety of locations on campus to provide peer support. Volunteers (otherwise known as peer supporters) receive over 30 hours of training in August (including basic peer support and active listening), along with monthly trainings on specific topics to support members of the McGill community.  Currently, we are recruiting volunteers for next year (2016-2017) and we would love to increase our graduate student presence within the volunteer team.
